Hey. I'm making my problem visible to everybody who could possibly ever be in my shoes, waiting for Expedia personnel to react. My original message to them is following:

We are stuck in Maldives because of one of ur agents fault. We tried calling u for so many times and talked to a few of ur agents who were unable to resolve our problem.

Anyway, we booked the package of flight plus hotel through u, from august 9th till august 17th 2021. The itinerary number was 721408********, and confirmation number 2MNY**. Flights from Belgrade to Male through Doha and the return flight from Male to Belgrade to Doha.

The problem was that I accidentally put my name TWICE, instead of mine and my spouses so we had to change it. In order to change the name and put her name instead of my name twice, we called YOU and spoke to this agent Princess from the Philippines who told us that we cant make these changes and she has to do it. But in order to do it, she had to CANCEL our fights and book new ones with the names updated.

So, ur agent Princess canceled our flights and booked the new one with the name R****** R** Z****** which is my name and Z***** *** which is my spouses name. The new itinerary number she gave us was 721412********, with the confirmation number of 2YMJ**.

Anyway, we didnt happen to notice till recently that she also made a BIG MISTAKE when she put the DIFFERENT RETURN DATES. Instead of putting our original dates of august 17th, she put SEPTEMBER 17th!

We are currently in Maldives going through hard times with ur customer service and agents, we are stuck here cause we tried calling Qatarairways and they referred us to u, since the booking was made through YOU, EXPEDIA, and u were supposed to handle our situation.

All we need is our booking to be changed to the original date, cause our hotel is also booked for 7 days, and we are currently in the suite in the HARD ROCK HOTEL MALDIVES.

We talked to the manager of the hotel and he understands the situation, he told us he will be able to prolong our stay to two or three days, but thats the maximum. So we are flexible with the FLIGHT DATES withing a FEW DAYS ONLY - anything from august 17th to august 19th or 20th - cause in Qatarairways they told us they dont have any seats available on our ORIGINAL dates.

All we want is to return to BELGRADE, from where we are going home to CANADA (its another flight to catch, not booked through you) and we are open to even flying with other airlines to BELGRADE as long are u are able resolve our problem that occurred thanks to ur agents big mistake.

User's recommendation: You better cancel your whole booking than dealing with Expedia trying to resolve anything.

Monetary Loss: $4000.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Expedia Pros: No benefits.

Expedia Cons: Incompetent employees, Incompetence, Not able to deal with basic issues, Mistrustful, Ignorance.
