Im reaching out to you for a recent Thrifty car rental experience.
My husband and I planned a beautiful trip to Sedona Arizona. We flew into Phoenix and rented a car through Expedia.
Ive used Expedia often for hotels, cars, etc.
After arriving to Phoenix airport we were quickly picked up at the airport by bus. Once we got to the car rental place the line was unbelievable. Ive never seen anything like it! This was approximately 1pm on Sunday the 14th.
People were waiting in line for 6+ hours to get a car.....I assume they must have ran out of cars. We had flown from Boston and were exhausted and just wanted to hop in the car and drive 2 hours to Sedona.
My husband stood in the Thrifty car line while I checked other car rental places. A manager from Avis kindly rented me a car. They charged me $200/day for a compact car.
A total of $1,000 with taxes and no insurance. My jaw dropped to the ground but my husband and I agreed to pay so we could get on and enjoy our vacation. I have never been so dissatisfied.
I was unable to talk to anyone at the car rental place that day people the employees were too busy. Im hoping you can help me in this situation!
