Expedia is a nightmare. To tell my story would take a novel. They cost me $4000 extra money that is down the drain b/c they couldn't understand plain English. I have been trying to plan a simple trip and it's been such a nightmare that I don't even want to go anymore. I have been on the phone with them for up to 3 HOURS A DAY for two weeks and they still haven't resolved a simple issue. She tells me there's a time difference between here and Italy and I SCREAM, "In two weeks, you haven't been able to find the right time? Are you kidding me?" She said they would handle this as urgent, which is exactly what they said two weeks ago. We're leaving in 3 weeks and still don't have a hotel room b/c of them. And that's just one part of the story. I don't think I've ever ever dealt with more incompetence.

I would never allow a third party service to book anything anywhere at any time for me. You must do your own homework or you'll wind up at the "Paradise Palace" or whomever is willing to kickback to Expedia. You wanted cheap and used a cheap-o service, so you really shouldn't be surprised by second or third class accommodations.

Scam ... Bait and Switch | Expedia review

I came to find out that actually what they did (and doing to other customers) is illegal. I have contacted DOT.GOV and according to their regulations you cannot sell a ticket from 1 company (in my case British Airways), code shared with another (Iberia), code shared again with another airline (Openskies, which went bankrupt last year) and finally code shared with the actual company flying you home (Level Airline). I am working with DOT to make sure this does not happen to anybody else.

Worst company for booking... now I have a ticket with LEVEL 1 Airline to come home from France, when I booked British Airways .... Your supervisor from Oklahoma has been yelling at me for 30 minutes and your OFFLINE ticketing is not responding to my request to change the ticket to an airline that is not going out of business! Expedia screwed up big time and now they refuse to listen and make things right! Even after being presented with proof and having the problem explained to them step by step they are still to stupid to understand and make things right! They stile my money and keep blaming it on wyndham super 8! They screwed me out of my refund with wyndham by lying to me and saying they cancelled the reservation when according to wyndham they DID NOT DO SO! Now because expedia did not follow through wyndham is not responsible for my refund. When this was explained to expedia they wont listen and wont make it right and now they decided to just ignore me and wont communicate with me no more!

I booked a hotel through Expedia and then cancelled it using the email that I received from them confirming the booking. I was charged by the hotel for not showing up. I called Expedia who said that they were not responsible. Why do I need a 3rd party then? They just lost a customer. Ref : 7473482433725.
