Tried to book a ticket to Marseille, the card was rejected 3 times. Booked on another card.

Have realised that they had taken money off both cards, without sending any emails to us.

which they normally do. BA confirmed what had happened, and told us that a full refund was inevitable. We called the customer services.

I was on the phone to the Philippines for I hour 43 minutes! I was informed that only 50% was due to be refunded.

For most of the call I was on hold...they told me that they needed to contact a particular department.

Why?

I am now awaiting a call back from Expedia. lets see if they do call me back.

Taking money off 2 accounts with a single booking with no emails seems dodgy behaviour to me.

User's recommendation: check confirmation emails and don't let them bore you into submission.

Monetary Loss: $175.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Expedia Pros: Normally trustworthy.

Expedia Cons: Not this time.
