I attempted to make reservations for flight, hotel, and car, however, my transaction was declined, but the booking was never completed. However, when I checked my credit card balance to see why my transaction was declined, Expedia charged me $1001.89 (for what is unknown) and I also had a $542.40 charge from United Airlines.

I never received a confirmation email saying that my booking was approved, but I was charged for something that I did not authorize. I have been trying to contact Expedia for hours, but I can't get a live person on the phone because I keep being asked for an itinerary number that I don't have and was never provided.

The Virtual Assistant said that a Live Representative would be available for 8 hours and had a never to ask if I wanted to hold on the line for that extended period of time. This is ridiculous.

User's recommendation: Be very cautious before you book.
