Be aware of what is happening in Miami.
When you book a room on either Expedia or Hotels.com for a stay in Miami, many of the hotels there are not honouring the booking. When you get to the 'said' hotel and give them your reservation # even showing them the email confirmation from the reservations site, they claim to have never received it.
This happened on June 6th. Not only to us but the people in front of us and others we spoke to in the lobby. This happened at both hotels - Seaside suites and Generator both on Collins Ave. What they are doing is not honouring the booking because they can sell the room for more money to people right off the street.
Then when they have not sold it - they call you at 11:30 pm asking if you still want the room - this is because now at the end of the day they could manage to sell the room at the inflated price.
FRAUD. Calling the FBI & RCMP
