Don't purchase travel insurance they won't honor your claim | Expedia

I purchased travel insurance through Expedia and had to cancel my trip in advance due to an emergency business meeting. TravelGuard gave me the run around from the start in submitting my claim. I submitted claim with verification of emergency meeting and they promptly refused claim. When I appealed decision on the phone I was told I needed to send an email to them requesting a phone call after I was already on the phone with them. Got the complete run around and Expedia was not much helpful when I appealed to them since they are aligned with this insurance company. I got the standard answer of out of Expedia's hands.

Expedia is trained to sell and then customer care does not care- they lie. Staff is located in India, no level of customer care is located in the US.

Expedia find all excused not to make price warranty

I booked two nights hotel on Expedia about one month ago, now I found the hotel price dropped about $100 per night, Expedia has price warranty policy, so I contacted them by phone and by email, they found all kinds of excuses not to make the price adjustment form, I sent them 6-7 emails, with screenshots of the current price, first they miscalculated the price and tax, then they said the screenshot didn't include cancellation policy, then they said they don't accept two screenshots, everything has to be on the same page... while all these can be resolved if they just go to their website and pull the information out. I am really disappointed and never use Expedia again.

Took $4,000 and no solution for breavement flight! | Expedia

I called to book my car and ended up booking the whole emergency trip for a death in the family on the phone. All of a sudden I got this weird huge charge on my account —a pre-auth hold from Delta for a flight that did not even exist. Then my bank put a hold on the entire card. I had to be on an eRly flight Nd now Expedia canceled it and told me I would have to wait 3 days for the money to be refunded. No care at all that they messed up for a bereavement flight. Horrible customer service that can’t solve problems or speak English. We did not need this added stress when dealing with a death. What they tried to sell us did not exist? That is fraud.

Delay and utter frustration | Expedia

Had to postpone a scheduled trip-was told airline tickets were good for re-issue for 364 days from initial departure date 4-7-2018. Called Expedia 1-10-19 and after being passed around for SIX times and being placed on hold for One hour and 15 minutes was told the tickets were invalid!!! The four tickets cost $2947.16!!
