Had a rental car thru expedia via Enterprise off site from airport, when I got there to pick up car, had been rented to someone else, and another car was not available. This is bs, if I rent a car with cc guarantee, my car should have been there. Spent the next 3 hours trying to find a rental car under $600. Totally disappointed and frustrated

Seems you should be able to clarify the insurance question with Expedia or by looking at the booking details. It may just be a case of the car rental lady not knowing what she was doing. In any event, booking anything thru a third party like Expedia can be hazardous to your enjoyment of your travel plans because when there are problems, each party says it's someone else's problem.

Bait and switch | Expedia

This is a complaint about current service from and Expedia approved car rental company in Mexico. My friends are in Yucatán right now, having landed today with a previously booked Expedia approved car rental. They have spent the first three hours of their one week vacation battling with the vendor about the price of the car insurance – and all of them already have their own liability car insurance. The vendor wants to charge them $350 for one week of insurance on the car! At that rate They should take the car home with them after a few months! I am urging them to have Expedia compensate him for the lost of wasted time with the Expedia car rental agency; and to urge Expedia to drop this vendor!

Failed to honor web page statement of service | Expedia in New York, New York

I purchased airline tickets and a car rental through Expedia. The travel was from Redmond, Oregon to to San Diego, CA through San Francisco. Our flight from RDM was late and we missed our SFO connection. We immediately called Expedia to inform them that we would be late to pick up our rental car. They contacted the rental agency to advise them. We received a email or text from Expedia saying the rental had to be cancelled and they would try to get a refund. We later received another message saying the rental car agency refused our refund. These messages were odd because Expedia's car rental web page says "CANCEL AT ANY TIME". When we contacted Expedia about this conflict and they said it was my fault because in the text listed below the Cancel At Any Time statement said that car reservations could not be cancelled. I ended up spending over an hour on the phone with our Visa card company representative and Expedia to no avail. The next day I spent over three hours, with Expedia, being passed from one person to another and again to another. They just stonewalled me and in the end nothing changed. Visa is pursuing this now and they seem optimistic about a positive outcome. Expedia just conned me with a confusing and conflicting web page which let to this conflict. Don't let it happen to you. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY JUST DON'T CARE. LOOK AT THE OTHER COMPLAINTS LISTED HERE AND THEN FIND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS HONEST. BEWARE!

Expedia Customer service are worst service

We booked a rental car through Expedia.ca. On arrival at the destination the insurance was 3 times what was quoted. We called Expedia from the airport to see if they could help. The first rep hung up & the second could not help. We found a car with another rental company. Since we returned we have been trying to contact Expedia customer service. They keep asking for more documentation but then never call back. Often, when we get them on the phone, they hang up. One day we spent 2 hours on hold. They obviously have no intent of solving our issue. They should not call this customer service as there is no service involved.

Paid twice for car-hire Refund request | Expedia

Paid for my US car-hire through Expedia.co.uk. £297.91. On return from the US, Budget also charged my credit card for the vehicle hire (total £293.05 with exchange rate). Spoke with their customer services back at the beginning of May and I was told to provide copies of proof of transactions. I did this 15May17. To date, I have received no refund. They are apparently awaiting on a reply from Budget. I have asked them to refund me the money, and deal with Budget in the background. All correspondence seems to have dried up from their side. I am not happy and have told them as much. It might only be peanuts to them, but it wasn't and isn't to me!!

Worst company to deal with...Rented via Expedia for a total amount of $307.98 By the time i was done with them my bill was $624.59 They added Insurance after the fact(even tho, i said i did not want Insurance) when i got to the Counter they gave me a bigger car and said it would only be another 2-3 dollars...not true... I will never do Business with them again..I tried asking for a Manager or Supervisor..but they don't have any... Worst Experience ever...how can they Double your cost?? Biggest ***-artist!! they totally take advantage of the Customer.....Don't do Business with them. I Trusted the Agent, but in the end he took advantage of ME.
