Even Expedia's manager advised to use other website...
I've been customer of the Expedia for a long time until recent event when I really needed their assistance.Expedia is good until you do not have any problems.
They do not take any responsibility for reservations they make. So I booked the flight from Russia to US. My Expedia's confirmation page was saying "Ticketing are in progress. No need to call to reconfirm", so I waited for about 3-4 days, but status did not change.
So I called customer service. I was on the phone for more than 3 hours. I am not exaggerating. So first lady on the phone said that she will need to call airline.
She tried, but then said that their office is closed today? (What? How can airline not to have 24/7 support desk), so I asked for supervisor. So second lady on the phone, called airline and she said that airline does not have my confirmation.
By the time tickets got 600$ more expensive on Expedia (on airline website price was still about the same) from when I booked them. She said they can cover only 100$ difference. I did not like that, so I asked for supervisor. The third guy, manager, just said that I should book other tickets through OTHER WEBSITE.
And he said that there was airline's fault and not Expedia and there is nothing they can do about it. Result: My reservation has issues, but no one called me to let me know that I do not actually have tickets. I spent literally 3 hours on the phone with no result and help from customer service. I needed to use managers advice and book tickets from other website for more expensive price.
I guess, I will keep doing this from now on.Please stay away from this company!
