Tried to change my room requirements two minutes after making reservation. I admit it was my mistake.

Customer service rep told me after we made the change, that I would only have to pay the difference between the two rooms

But they charged me for the first reservation and the second. Full amounts. I called them. Was told, if the hotel agreed to forgive the first charges, they would refund me for the room.

I didn't cancel. I just modified the requirements and paid for it. The hotel told me they can't understand why I was charged for the first room by Expedia when they instantly knew that the first reservation was already forgiven by the hotel

Received a email from Expedia stating they need all this contact information from the hotel. Who I spoke to and this list just grows.

I'm forced to keep my second reservation.

But I will never use Expedia ever again. Only an idiot would use this messed up business after this.

Monetary Loss: $143.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Expedia Cons: Ripped off.
