when I arrived at the airport in trinidad on 7/20/08 i was told by american airline ticket rep flight #1668 was gone and no more flights were leaving for that day because they were closed. I called american airline customer service was advised expedia fail to book the flights with proper connecting flight from tabago to pos trinidad and there was no way I could have made flight#1668 .
I called expedia customer service was advised by rep it was american airline failure because they should have caught the error when they downloaded the flight information into there system.
I spent $25.00 in a calling card and 4 hours on the phone in trinidad airport calling expedia (who booked the flight and was paid) asking for assistance to help me get back home to Florida. I was stranded at the airport in Trinidad!! expedia customer service rep told me they would not pay for a hotel night stay and I would have to purchase another airline ticket to get me back to Florida from Trinidad.
Therefore, I had pay out of pocket for hotel room and the next day i had to purchase another airline ticket to get me from Trinidad back to the state of Florida. then rent a car and drive myself home.
Never again will I use expedia!!!
