Goggled Marriott Residence Inn and first web page came up looking identical to Marriott web page- called number to make a reservation and got pleasant agent who led me to believe I was booking the trip not only through Marriott but with the hotel itself. I bought a round trip in January using Expedia and they offered me an insurance in case to cancel or interrupt my flight. Unfortunately, I had to interrupt my flight and I was told that I have credit to use in any flight in the future, in any way and the limitation was that I should travel only with Delta Airlines. I used to use Expedia a lot years ago. They have devolved into the worst travel company I've ever used. I had used them for a flight this summer for work and had to make a change to the ticket. I contacted them and the person on the phone came back with a ridiculous change fee and charge for the new flight after looking on his computer. Wife had to cancel because of cancer diagnosis. All other airlines said no fees, just use book by a future date ( NOT TRAVEL_ JUST BOOK). Expedia said same on phone. Went to use tickets for Oct.31-Nov. 4, 2014, told by Expedia NEW Flights had to be used by Nov.2, not booked. Came in town for my father's funeral. We arrived late in the evening due to travel arrangements. When we arrived, NONE of the hotel amenities were available due to major remodeling and construction on site that had been going on for at least the last year. This was in July. They are a total cheat. They have written that they offer the best price and if we tell them that we could get a better price, some amount will be refunded...I showed the same to them but they have so much of hidden things. I made a reservation for two - bought insurance in the event I needed to cancel. I ended up needing to cancel, so I spoke to two different people on the phone. I arrived at the Hotel to be told that they were under renovation, the pool was closed, the floors were stripped of carpeting, the walls were all peeling, there was no kitchenette, no ironing board, halls were covered with construction tape and everything smelled.
