EXPEDIA IS THE MOST UNCARING COMPANY!!! USE A DIFFERENT BOOKING COMPANY THAT HAS SOME COMPASSION!!! They refuse to refund or credit my family for a $2800+ trip that is 7 weeks away that would put me, my wife, and our infant daughter into an area that is getting increasingly overrun with ISIS terrorists! We purchased our round-trip tickets on Expedia. Dallas to Shanghai. When coming home from Shanghai (to the US) my Fiancee was told she could not board the plane...because she didn't have a Visa for Canada. China East canceled her flight and we had to spend US $1600 on airfare to get her home. Expedia didn't even refund the "canceled" flight. China East said it was Expedia's issue. I am out $1600... We paid for a round trip ticket and took the first half. When we arrive in Istanbul airport to return home there was a reservation but expedia had not paid it. We were not allowed to board the plane. We called expedia and were put on hold or had dropped calls over 12 times over 5 hours. We were ignored and forced to spend money for a hotel room, taxi, meals and now we are told we have to pay... Very rude customer service. I booked through them and yet they did not have the power to issue a refund. BS. I will make sure that all social media know about how rude crystal in the Philippines was to me. Add comment

I have booked a hotel in st Lucia ( hotel Chocolat) via Expedia . The hotel did not have air-conditioning and there was no windows and we have checked out after one night. I called a number that came up on my smartphone from what appeared to be the Marriott website. It turns out it was Expedia however they did not identify themselves. My partner made a booking several months ago and had no problems but then we found an unauthorised debit from our account.
